Donor Engagement Manager

What You Will Do:

Inspire, motivate, and create strategies to expand fundraising efforts and strengthen donor and community engagement in service of Foodnet’s mission to the community.

Create and lead the philanthropic strategy for fundraising resource development and awareness of Foodnet Meals on Wheels.

Carryout successful fundraising including major gifts, foundation and corporate giving,  and planned giving (annual fund management).

Craft and submit grant applications and funding requests to foundations and corporations.

Establish and lead community public relations programming including successful website, social media, and other marketing efforts in support of Foodnet’s mission.

What you will need:

Interest and drive to ensure positive outcomes in service of our local senior neighbors.

Demonstrated commitment to philanthropy in support of mission-driven, nonprofit, social service organizations through annual fund, major and planned giving.

Successful leadership background that demonstrates strengths in communication, organization, vision, patience, and purpose. Bachelor’s Degree desirable.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to lead, connect with and support a diverse group of passionate donors, hard-working staff, a strong management team, board, and volunteers on fundraising, through marketing, and community engagement.

Demonstrated success writing and submitting grants and sponsorship requests.

A creative approach to meet principles and practices of marketing including web and social media. 

Commitment and experience in human services or to serving vulnerable populations in Tompkins County, New York is a plus.

Proficiency with various software programs (Microsoft Word Suite, GiftWorks) and success in social media communications (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube).

Possess a valid NYS Driver’s license and a clean driving record and ability to travel in and outside of Tompkins County.

Ability to perform in a hybrid work format with remote and in-person work requirements.

Salary Range: $48-$58K annually.

Part-time Operations Support Assistant and Food Prep (25-hours per week, shifts from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, Monday through Friday)

What you will do:

Be a part of the Foodnet’s kitchen production team and meal delivery operations with work schedule split between meal delivery and food preparation duties in the kitchen.

Assists the Foodnet Kitchen Operations team (Cooks and others) with food preparation in support of Foodnet’s meal preparation and packaging. This included future/frozen meal prep, portioning and packaging of sandwich and weekend/holiday meal preparation.

Deliver meals to client homes following an assigned route three days per week and to fill driving schedule as needed.

Assist in food ordering and inventory processes.

What you will need:

Must have a NYS driver’s license for at least 3 years with a good safety record

High school graduate or equivalent or ability to function effectively in the role.

Reliable transportation and valid NYS driver’s license required with at least three years of a good safety record.

Good sense of humor and a desire to see good in others.

Experience in food services and production is a plus.

Experience working with older adults, individuals living with disabilities, and diverse populations is welcome.

We offer the Tompkins County living wage pay rates for our positions (starting at $16.03 per hour).  Benefits for this position include a generous amount of personnel and vacation days per calendar year.
