Executive Director at Foodnet Meals on Wheels
Jessica is the chief administrator at Foodnet Meals on Wheels. She comes to Foodnet from her position as a Client Services Consultant at Concept Systems, Inc., a woman-owned small business based in Ithaca, NY that focuses on social science research and evaluation. Her work included all aspects of project management, program evaluation, research, and strategic planning in multi-phase projects that support a wide range of organizations including private foundations, government organizations, higher education, and nonprofit agencies. Jessica has over 15 years of leadership experience within human services, healthcare, mental health, and aging services.
Jessica earned her bachelor's degree in social work from Shepherd University and her master's in social work from the State University of New York at Albany where she also completed a John A. Hartford Gerontology fellowship. She is an active community member serving on boards of the Ithaca Rotary Club and Human Services Coalition in Tompkins County. Jessica is the President of the Meals on Wheels New York State Association, which serves as the principal advocate and leadership organization for Meals on Wheels and other food and nutrition services providers in the State of New York.
Food Service Operations Manager
Darren joined Foodnet in 2021. He brings many years of demonstrated experience in food service management. Darren oversees the organization's daily food production, delivery, service, and personnel. In collaboration with the Foodnet team, he develops recipes and menus. Darren oversees food purchasing, procurement, and food safety.
Prior to Darren's role at Foodnet, he worked in the Transportation Department at Cornell University. Prior that role, he was the Director of Retail Operations at Ithaca Bakery, and a Manager for Cornell University Dining. Darren is a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, an active volunteer with Enfield Food Pantry, and Team Rubicon.
Kelly joined Foodnet in 2017. She brings many years of experience as a Registered Dietitian. Kelly oversees all aspects of Foodnet's Nutrition Program. She provides nutrition counseling, education, and service coordination to Foodnet clients.
Prior to her role at Foodnet, Kelly worked in health care, education and fitness settings throughout Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, and Illinois. In addition to her new role at Foodnet, Kelly teaches fitness at Ithaca YMCA. She is the secretary for Lansing PTSO, teaches Sunday School at Trinity Lutheran, and is an active mother of two children.
Finance & Administrative Services Manager
Jon joined Foodnet in 2002. He brings many years of experience in Administrative Services and Finance. Jon's role includes leadership responsibility for financial management and administrative operations.
Assistant Food Service Operations Manager
Regan joined Foodnet in 2020 as an Outreach Driver, and was promoted to her current role in 2021. In coordination with the Food Service Operations Manager, Regan is responsible for oversight of the organization's daily food production, delivery, service, and personnel. She supports food purchasing, recipe development and food safety.
Prior to her role at Foodnet, Regan worked for many years in the hospitality field managing restaurants and cafes. Regan has held other positions in the public service sector including personal shopping, pet care, and homecare.
Lu Ann joined Foodnet in 1999. She brings many years of administrative professional experience. Lu Ann is the first friendly voice you will hear when you call Foodnet. She provides information and support to our clients, staff, and Board of Directors. Lu Ann manages a wide range of Foodnet's front office tasks to ensure quality services.
